Home My Moleskine Art

Moleskine is the legendary notebook, used by European artists and thinkers for the past two centuries, from Van Gogh to Picasso, from Ernest Hemingway to Bruce Chatwin. These are scans of the entries in my first moleskine notebook - random thoughts, random drawings captured in the pages of this legendary notebook. In freer days, it usually takes a couple or more hours straight to complete each spread, but sometimes it takes days or weeks to finish one. I get usually asked what I use in decorating my notebook, and I really use simple tools: felt tip pens of various thickness and colored aquarelle pencils. I usually plot the whole layout first by pencil to make sure I don't lose space (and you would see that in some pages, I barely leave empty areas). Click on the following pages below. Each gallery consists of 20 scans arranged chronologically. Enjoy and be sure to keep checking for new updates.
